Timeline and completion
Hello everyone! Andy here; I hope you all have had a good week so far! This week, I will go over the planning of the timeline of our game and what that looks like week by week. We have 16 weeks for our project, and by the end of week 13, we hope to have at least five levels designed and functioning before the Let's Break Games event, which is happening in week 14.
We gave ourselves roughly two weeks per level, polishing and testing the week after the rough design had been built into unity. The game must be tested consistently, any bugs we encounter must be fixed, and the mechanics within each level must be tested.
We would repeat this bi-weekly and slowly increase the workload with another part of this project, such as the media pack, wiki, and blog post.
The image above is a timeline we created at the beginning of the semester. Ideally, we would be following this schedule.
Still, as we all know, nothing always goes according to plan, so for the backup plan, we decided if we needed to, we would drop a level and only present four levels at Let's Break Games. We would not have music for the game as music and sounds are not a requirement.
If we drop a level, we will pick it right up after the Let's Break Games event and have the last level completed and added to the game.
